Explore Notre Dame

Needless to say, people are drawn to the beauty and history of the                     University of Notre Dame. It is often described as one of the most beautiful universities on the country. There are 1,250 acres, with many trails and lakes to explore which make the perfect picture. visitors are welcome to explore on their own, or arrange a campus tour. You will want to see the Golden Dome, the Grotto, the Word of Life Mural, and of course, you will want to see the Fighting Irish at work. The Notre Dame Stadium is something to be experienced, with its Leprechaun Mascot and the highly acclaimed Notre Dame Band. The Official Campus Guide describes it perfectly when it says, "This is not merely a football field, it is an experience, a uniquely Notre Dame synthesis of sport, tradition, pride, loyalty and belief". Tailgating is another highlight and something to you have to do at least once. Those lucky enough to have a second home in Southwest Michigan often pack up their picnic for tailgating, watch the game and have but a short ride back to their Southwest Michigan Lake Home, where the party continues.
